Cookies
CLAIMD sets the few cookies it needs to keep you signed in and nothing else: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. This page lists every one.

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text record a website asks your browser to keep, so the site can recognise the same browser on the next request. CLAIMD uses cookies only to keep you signed in and to make the site work. It does not use them to track you, to build a profile, to measure you across other sites, or to show you advertising.
The cookies we set
Session (__Host-claimd_s): set when you sign in, so the app knows it's you on each page. It holds a random token, not your details. It ends when you sign out or when the session expires.
After sign-in (__Host-claimd_next): set for 15 minutes while a sign-in link is on its way, so we can return you to the page you were on. It holds only a page path on this site.
Staff cookies (__Host-claimd_a, __Host-claimd_preview): set only for CLAIMD staff who sign in to the admin console or preview unpublished wording. They are never set for a customer.
Every cookie is marked Secure and HttpOnly, is sent only to claimd.au, and is never readable by a script on the page. A cookie of ours never leaves this site, and we never read a cookie set by anyone else.
What stays in your browser
Some things are kept in your browser's own storage, on your device, and never sent to us as a cookie: your answers to the free check while you are on it (cleared when you close the tab), a copy of the claim you are building so a dropped connection loses nothing, and a small flag that reloads the page when we publish a new version of the app. On a private preview of the site, the feedback tool also remembers the name and key you typed into it. None of this is used to track you.
Other people's cookies
There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no social-media pixels on claimd.au. When you pay, you go to a page run by Stripe, and Stripe sets its own cookies there under its own policy (stripe.com/privacy). We do not see them.
Turning cookies off
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. If you block ours, you can still read the site and run the free check, but you cannot sign in or build a claim, because there is no other way for the app to know it's you. Because none of our cookies is optional, there is no cookie banner: this page is the notice.
